Our 4th graders took on an exciting challenge, they became zoo designers! 🦁🐘 Each student created their own zoo by building enclosures for different animals. But this wasn’t just about drawing pictures, they had to use their math skills to calculate the area and perimeter of each animal’s space.

By measuring and figuring out these important numbers, the students learned how to make sure each animal has enough room to play and stay safe. It was a fun way to see how math can be used in real life, especially in designing places where animals live.

We’re so proud of our young architects and mathematicians for combining creativity with problem solving. Their zoos are truly one-of-a-kind!
